After getting several complaints regarding alleged irregularities in the local civic body electoral rolls, the Dehradun district magistrate and the district returning officer, Sonika directed all sub divisional magistrates to review all electoral rolls in their respective areas and take action accordingly. The DM held a meeting with the officials of all civic bodies of the Dehradun district on Monday to address complaints regarding alleged irregularities in the local civic body electoral rolls by various sections across the district. She asked SDMs to review electoral rolls and check the shortcomings of the voter list by conducting a door-to-door survey through block level officers. The SDMs will also take the help of the Patwari concerned and other associated officials. The officials concerned will investigate each irregularity at every level and take action accordingly to ensure all details are error free in the electoral rolls, she added.
