The Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Kumar Srivastava directed the chief medical officer (CMO) to present files of such hospitals which fail to provide details of Covid-19 deaths by Saturday noon in order to revoke their licenses. As per the DM’s orders, notices were recently served to the management of such hospitals in the district which failed to cooperate with the administration in conducting a death audit of Covid-19 deaths in their respective hospitals.
According to Srivastava, all such hospitals have been given an ultimatum to provide the details of Covid deaths by 12 PM on Saturday. He said that the license of such hospitals would be revoked under the Clinical Establishment Act if they fail to do the same in the specified time. The DM has even directed the CMO to present him the files of such hospitals that fail to comply with orders on Saturday in order to take action against them under the Act.
