To strengthen administrative presence in the district and improve the quality of public services, the district magistrate, Prashant Arya inspected Purola Tehsil, police station and block office on Friday. During the inspection, he reviewed revenue, police and development-related work.
During his inspection of the Tehsil office, the DM inquired about network connectivity and the operation of e-office and directed to ensure 100 per cent implementation of e-office in all offices. He also directed the sub-divisional magistrate and Tehsildar to expedite pending revenue collection cases and ensure 100 percent recovery. He also directed them to identify illegal encroachments on government and departmental land and take effective action to clear them of encroachments.
Taking the growing drug problem in the area seriously, he directed the Tehsildar and police officers to conduct regular surprise inspections of schools. During the inspection of Purola police station, the DM took stock of all the arrangements, including the computer room, CCTV operation, women help desk, security equipment and crime register. On coming across a problem related to solar panels in the police station, he spoke to SPO UREDA and gave instructions for immediate solution and making the solar panel functional.
