Noted scientist and former director general of the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Rajendra Dobhal took charge as the Director, strategic planning, research and development, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) on Thursday. He was welcomed by the Vice Chancellor SRHU, Vijay Dhasmana on assuming the new responsibility.
A Fellow of The National Academy of Sciences, Dobhal has also occupied positions of eminence with organizations such as National Research Development Corporation, Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre, Uttarakhand Space Application Centre, and Uttarakhand State Biotechnology Board. He has monitored over 250 Research and development projects leading to national/international publications and patents.
