In an important move, the Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) announced on Saturday that all treatment and surgeries, tests and medicines are completely free for the entire month of July as part of observance of the Doctor’s Day. The hospital sources said that the decision has been taken on the instructions of the chairman, Venkateshwara group of institutions, Sudhir Giri . “This is a move to help materialise the PM’s vision of Healthy India,” said Giri.
Pro-chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University, Rajeev Tyagi said that the medical facility would provide free treatment to the needy and poor people in west Uttar Pradesh in July.
