The 75th Republic Day was celebrated by Doon Cambridge School with a variety of programmes on Friday. The principal of the institution Monika Pande unfurled the national flag and exhorted the students to dream of a more glorious India than what the freedom fighters dreamt of and work tirelessly to shape that dream into reality.
The school’s senior office bearers said that the students had staged a march to the tune of ‘Kandhon se Milte hain Kandhe’ to commemorate the ethos of unity, dedication and discipline that the special day embodies. They further said that the school choir had presented a patriotic musical performance ‘Mann Kehta Hai Vande Mataram’ and a dance performance based on the theme of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
