According to the schedule, Murmu will reach Rashtrapati Niketan on Friday. During her visit, she will inspect the ongoing development work at the Rashtrapati Udyan being built over an area of 132 acres in the Rashtrapati Niketan campus. The park is being developed as a modern public space with facilities such as a theme park, cafeteria, food court, jogging and cycling tracks, an open-air theatre, Yoga pavilion, sports zone and viewing decks.

On June 13, the President will attend the IMA PoP where hundreds of officer cadets will be commissioned into the Indian Army.

The Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Chauhan on Thursday inspected Rashtrapati Niketan to review the preparations. He directed all departments to ensure that there is no lapse in security or public facilities during the President’s stay. Officials have been asked to submit fitness and clearance certificates related to electricity, drinking water, fire safety and other essential services before the President’s arrival.

Dehradun senior superintendent of police Pramendra Dobal said that extensive checking is being carried out at hotels, lodges, bus stations and railway stations.
