The Dehradun police have nabbed 19 years old accused from Champaran district of Bihar who had posted a video of a minor girl in Dehradun after he allegedly raped her. The police informed that a complaint was filed in the Rajpur Police station on November 7 against Bittu Kumar for allegedly raping a minor girl. According to the police, the accused recorded the video of his sexual assault on the girl and posted it at various social networking sites which soon went viral.
The police filed a case against the said accused on the basis of the statements given by the victim. Considering the gravity of the matter, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Janmejaya Khanduri immediately formed a team to search for the accused. After tracing the location of his mobile phone, a team of Dehradun police went to Champaran and arrested the accused on November 26. The police informed that the accused has been brought back to Dehradun on transit remand and will be presented in court after the medical examination.
