Doon Ultra Runners group in association with Ambhos Association will organise a half marathon – Doon Valley Marathon on April 10. Informing about this, the event organisers said that the run is being organised to promote running and fitness, encourage environmental conservation and to pay tribute to the martyrs of the country. Running enthusiasts above 14 years of age can participate under three categories- five kilometres, 10 kilometres and 21 kilometres. The half marathon will commence from IT Park and progress via Sahastradhara to Maldevta Road, Raipur. Founder of Doon Ultra Runner Group and the face of the event, Major Shashi Mehta said, “If I can run at 41 years of age, then I believe that everyone can run.” Registration for the event has begun and will continue till March 31.
