A training programme was held in Delhi Public School (DPS) Roorkee to raise awareness on gender violence and abuse. The training programme ‘Dheera’ was organised to educate the students of classes X and XII in the school.
Subject experts Jyotsana Aggarwal, Sangeeta Garg and Kaveri Gupta raised awareness among the students on gender violence while motivating the students to ensure the dignity and rights of women. They also discussed other issues including pay discrepancy, mental and physical harassment, domestic violence, gender inequality and other issues.
Directors of the school, Pradeep Batra and Ram Aggarwal stated that it is vital to raise awareness on protection from gender violence and such social evils.
