The head of department (HoD) of Ophthalmology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Mittal has been elected as the President of the Society of Ophthalmologists of Uttarakhand. This responsibility was handed over to him during the National Conference of Ophthalmologists. Dr Mittal is the Medical Superintendent of AIIMS Rishikesh.
In the conference organized in Dehradun, ophthalmologists from all over the country emphasized on adopting modern medical techniques and the latest process of treatment of eye patients and shared the related information among them. A new executive committee of the state of Uttarakhand was formed for the year 2022-23. Dr Mittal is serving in the department of Ophthalmology, AIIMS Rishikesh since January 2016. Dr Satanshu Mathur of Kashipur has been elected as secretary while Dr Amit Singh of Dehradun would be the treasurer of the society.
