The District Sports Office (DSO) in Dehradun will organise various competitions to mark the International Olympic Day on June 23. According to the officials, teams interested in participating can submit their entry details two days prior to the competitions by contacting the appropriate officials via mobile.
The competitions will take place from June 20 to June 23. A hockey competition will be held for open boys and girls at the Pavilion Ground. For this event, candidates can contact Amit Kataria at 9557077786.
During the same dates, competitions for handball, football, volleyball and judo will also be organised. The handball competition will be categorised for under 15 boys while the football competition is for under 15 boys as well. Volleyball is open to all boys and girls and the judo competition is for under 18 boys and girls.
The officials further said that handball and football matches would take place at the Pavilion Ground while volleyball would be held at the Parade Ground and judo would be played in the multipurpose hall of the Parade Ground.
