In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the worried nation’s focus remaining trained on the ongoing multi-agency rescue operation at the Silkyara tunnel collapse site in Uttarkashi district, the deputy secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Mangesh Ghidiyal reached the site and took stock of the evacuation operation from the officers engaged in the operation. He was apprised of the obstacles impeding the rescue work. Meanwhile, the drilling work remained halted on Saturday. Confirming the halt in the rescue operation, the director NHIDCL Anshu Manish Khalkho said that they were trying to resume the operation at the earliest.
