Reacts to Harish Rawat’s challenge in which he had asked BJP to provide list of 3,200 persons employed by govt
Reacting to the statement of former chief minister and head of campaign committee of Uttarakhand Congress Harish Rawat made on the employment given by the BJP government, the Education minister Arvind Pandey has said that the education department alone has provided 10,000 employments in the last five years. Rawat had challenged the BJP to provide data of the employment provided by its government and had claimed that if it provides list of 3,200 persons who got jobs during its tenure, he would retire from politics.
Giving details, Pandey said that in the primary education department appointment to 1,881 candidates have been given while the recruitment process is going on in 2,648 posts. He said that in the secondary education department 1,818 candidates have been given appointments and the process is going on in 1,431 posts. Similarly 1,414 lecturers were appointed and process is going on for 571 posts. The education minister further claimed that 4,410 guest teachers were appointed by the BJP government. He said that instead of giving statements which tarnish his own image and talking about retirement, Rawat should correct his information.
