Edu dept unveils award plan for U’khand board students

50+ 40+ 10 plan for Class XII; 75+25 for class X
The education department of Uttarakhand has come up with the much awaited formula on the basis of which marks would be awarded to the students of class X and XII of Uttarakhand board. In a meeting of the department chaired by the education minister Arvind Pandey on Tuesday it was decided that the students of class XII would be awarded marks on the basis of a formulae according to which 50 percent marks would be given on the basis of class X marks while the weightage of class XI marks and monthly tests/ pre boards would be 40 and 10 percent respectively. Similarly the students of class X would be given 75 percent marks on the basis of class IX result while 25 percent marks would be awarded on the basis of monthly tests or pre board of class X.
The board examinations of the Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) were cancelled this year to prevent students from the contagion of the Covid-19.
