Officials informed that with the commencement of the Char Dham Yatra 2026, many Force Motors Tempo Travellers and Urbania vehicles are being used on the Yatra routes. To ensure that pilgrims do not encounter any difficulties due to technical issues with their vehicles during the Yatra, the department has instructed Force Motors to arrange for prompt resolutions to these problems.

In this regard, Force Motors has provided eight mobile technical vans specifically for the Char Dham Yatra routes, which were recently launched. The purpose of these vans is to offer completely free service in the event of a vehicle breakdown during the Yatra. This service will be available at intervals of approximately 50-70 kilometres. A nominal fee will apply only if any parts need to be replaced in the vehicle, officials stated.

Officials also informed that, additionally, for the convenience of passengers, a helpline number, 1800 233 5000, has been issued for immediate assistance. They also emphasised that the Regional Transport Office in Dehradun has written to Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland and Eicher Motors to arrange for mobile technical vans along the Char Dham Yatra routes. This will help provide prompt technical assistance for all types of vehicles on the Yatra route.
