Election Commission delists 6 political parties in Uttarakhand

The Election Commission of India has delisted six registered unrecognised political parties (RUPP) of Uttarakhand. These are the parties which in the last six years have not contested any election and in physical verification their offices were not found. The ECI has given a time of 30 days to these RUPP to file last appeal against the delisting decision.
The delisted parties are Bharatiya Jankranti Party, Dehradun, Hamari Janmanch Party, Dehradun, Maidani Kranti Dal, Dehradun, Praja Mandal Party, Pauri, Rashtriya Gram Vikas Party, Haridwar and Rashtriya Jan Sahaya Dal, Dehradun.
The ECI has also issued show cause notices to 11 other RUPPs of the State which are inactive from the last six years.
