In latest news from Uttarakhand, a leopard broke into a room where a woman was sleeping at around 3.30 AM and tried to drag her out. The incident happened in a village under Augustmuni block of Rudraprayag district. As she raised alarm, her husband who was sleeping in another room rushed in. As he started beating the feline with stick it fled. The injured woman was rushed to Augustmuni hospital.
The scared villagers demanded the Forest department to capture the leopard immediately to stop recurrence of such attacks.
