In a chilling crime, a woman in a state of rage following domestic dispute allegedly poured petrol on her husband and set him on fire. This happened at Badabhoj village in Bazpur of Udham Singh Nagar district. Relatives present at the house rushed in and tried to douse the flame. The critically injured man with extensive burns was first rushed to a government hospital and then referred to a higher centre, given his worsening condition. The wife who allegedly committed the crime is learnt to have fled.
The Beria Daulat police station officers said that though they had received no written complaint they had started probe on their own.
