Ensure quality arrangements on time for PM visit: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed officials to lay special focus on security, traffic management and public convenience during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed Dehradun visit on April 14. On Sunday, the CM visited the Dat Kali Mandir and the Jaswant Ground in Garhi cantonment where the PM is slated to address a large public gathering.

While inspecting the arrangements at the programme venue, he sought information about security, traffic management, parking facility, drinking water, power supply, sanitation and basic facilities. He directed officials to ensure that the quality is maintained and that all arrangements are completed on time so that those attending the programme do not face any inconvenience. Laying stress on the security arrangements, the CM said that all the agencies involved should work in coordination. Dhami also said that a systematic traffic management plan should be prepared and that the swift availability of emergency services should also be ensured.

The CM also offered prayers at Dat Kali Mandir on the occasion.

Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt and senior officials were also present during the CM’s inspection.
