Rahul Gandhi to interact with students in Dehradun today

The Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal and other party leaders visited the Bannu school ground on Thursday to inspect the arrangements for party leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme on Friday.
He was accompanied by co- incharges of State Congress Manoj Yadav and Surendra Sharma,former PCC president Karan Mahara, the chairman of the election management committee of Uttarakhand Congress Harak Singh Rawat, deputy leader of Congress legislature party Bhuwan Kapdi and others.
A close aide of Rahul Gandhi, Manoj Tyagi also inspected the preparations of the programme.
The vice president of State Congress Dhirendra Pratap said that all leaders appeared satisfied with the preparations. He said that Godiyal has appealed to the youngsters of the State to attend the programme of Rahul Gandhi on July 17.
Later in the day, the Congress leaders held deliberations with the party leaders and the workers at the State Congress headquarters.
The State unit of the party has thrown it’s full might to make the programme of Rahul Gandhi, a success. From last few days the Congress leaders are holding contact programmes with the workers and the students. The party has also organised a series of street plays on paper leaks and the plight of the unemployed and students.
On Thursday, the party also released the anthem of the ‘ Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme of Rahul Gandhi.
The anthem stresses on the unity of the students for bringing transparancy and impartiality in the education system.
The PCC president Godiyal said that the programme of Rahul Gandhi is not merely an event but a commitment for ensuring a safe future for the students. He said that the students and their parents should attend the programme in large numbers.
