In an initiative aimed at enhancing healthcare and monitoring systems for pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra, the Health department of Uttarakhand in collaboration with Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Healthcare (WIHS) has launched “eSwasthyaDham application. The app is designed to monitor the health status of pilgrims and is integrated with the existing Char Dham registration portal of the department of tourism. The platform enables pilgrims to access their medical records conveniently via their ABHA ID, ensuring easy retrieval of essential health information. The pilgrims will be checked at the screening points managed by WISH and the HANS foundation on the Yatra routes. The status of the health checkups will be updated on the App.

Pilgrims themselves can access this vital information, ensuring transparency and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.

The chief secretary Radha Raturi said that the health web app underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to health and wellbeing of pilgrims during pilgrimage season.
