To mark the International Day of Older Persons, the doctors working for the Government B D Pandey District Hospital met the elderly patients admitted at the hospital and listened to the problems they were facing. Besides, the doctors and the staff were administered the oath of serving the elderly patients with utmost sincerity and dedication the medical profession warranted.
The PMS, Dr T K Tamta spoke of the objective behind celebrating this day while addressing the doctors and staff members. “This commemorative day reminds us of the importance of taking special care of the elderly patients sans abuse, discrimination and neglect. They must be given the priority instead,” he affirmed.
Fruits were also distributed among the elderly patients to mark the occasion.
