Villagers attend multipurpose camp at Dichli, avail benefits

A multi-purpose camp was organised at Dichli under Chinyalisaur development block at the joint initiative by the district administration and the Social Welfare department.
The Uttarkashi district magistrate, Prashant Arya presided over the camp. A large number of villagers along with public representatives and the district officials were present at the camp. The objective of the camp was to deliver the benefits of the government welfare schemes directly to the entitled people and address the villagers’ problems on the spot. Besides, cultural programmess and awareness programmes on drug de-addiction were presented by school children.
The Health department conducted health check-ups of 191 villagers while the AYUSH department examined 21 and the Homeopathic department examined 19 people and distributed free medicines. Sugar and blood pressure tests were also conducted for 180 people. The Revenue department issued five income certificates and three caste certificates on the spot while the Industry department completed two registrations under the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme. The Agriculture and Horticulture department distributed agricultural equipment and seeds to farmers to strengthen farming. UPCL provided 10 new electricity connections and resolved several bill-related complaints.
Several others like Panchayati Raj department and Social Welfare department also played roles at the camp.
