Fellowship students learn aspects of leadership & community service

The Institution of Engineers (India) former national president Narendra Singh Chauhan stressed on the importance of education, discipline, leadership and social service. He was speaking at a workshop on youth leadership, community service and entrepreneurship organised by the Udayan Shalini Fellowship Dehradun chapter for the fellowship students and their parents. Sharing experiences from his service, Chauhan said that success is certain if one thinks big and undertakes work in a creative manner.

Adimantar Rural and Tribal Development Foundation director Tarun Pant expressed his views on the subject while advising the students on how to become self-reliant. Sharing his experience of working with tribals in remote areas, he spoke of how such communities have become economically stronger through entrepreneurship. Shruti Kotiyal and Pooja Rupain from Exolotel Enterprise shared their views on startups, event management, public communication and other aspects along with information on securing a career in these fields.

Former student Megha Chauhan shared her experience with the organisation, recalling the role played by the Udayan Shalini Fellowship in developing her personality, boosting confidence and enabling access to new opportunities.  The fellowship’s Dehradun chapter coordinator Vimal Dabral informed about the various activities and achievements of the fellowship.
