Under the Farmer FIRST project, a one-day training on milk product processing was given to female livestock farmers at the G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar on Tuesday.
Women from Surajyala village under Bhimtal block participated in the programme organised at the College of Veterinary and Animal Science of the university. In the training, information was given about scientific methods of manufacturing various milk products, including paneer, ped and burfi. Besides, they were informed about the details of animal care and benefits of marketing.
On this occasion, the project officials motivated the female livestock farmers to join such programmes in future too and onion seeds were distributed.
