Finance minister Prem Chand Agarwal will present the general budget 2024-25 of the State in the Vidhan Sabha today. In a departure from the norms the Finance minister will table the budget at 12.30 PM in the Assembly.
It is a practice to table the budget at 5 PM but this time the government is tabling the budget slightly earlier. It is expected that Agarwal will table a zero new taxes budget of about Rs 90,000 crore. Discussions on the budget will be held on February 28 and 29 and the budget will be passed on March 1.
