Fog warning issued for two plain districts today

Following a cloudy Wednesday marked by very light rain in Dehradun, the state is forecast to experience dry weather in districts on Thursday. However, the state meteorological centre has issued an alert regarding the possibility of moderate to dense fog likely to occur in some parts of plains especially in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts on Thursday. The provisional state capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear sky with shallow fog/mist likely to occur during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 20 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Thursday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Wednesday were 16.2 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 14.9 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 3.9 degrees Celsius and one degree Celsius in Mukteshwar and 6.2 degrees Celsius and 3.6 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
