Former HC judge Justice Verma to monitor SIT probe in UKSSSC paper leak case

The Uttarakhand government has appointed former judge of Uttarakhand High Court Justice (retd) BS Verma as the observer of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted for probing the complaints of paper leak and cheating in the graduate level examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).
A circular issued by the Home secretary Shailesh Bagauli stated that Verma will minutely monitor the investigation being done by the SIT in the case and ensure that the entire process is impartial, transparent and based on facts.
The State government has constituted a five member SIT headed by the Superintendent of Police (Rural) Dehradun Jaya Baluni to investigate the charges of irregularities and paper leak of the UKSSSC examination.
