Former secretary of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Jagdish Chandra passed away at a private hospital in Dehradun on Tuesday. After retirement from government service, he was active in social service and had joined the Congress party.
Expressing grief at the demise of Chandra, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that his death is an irreparable loss for Uttarakhand. He said that during his tenure as the secretary of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha, Chandra exhibited the highest level of administrative capability, impartiality and work ethics.
