Several employees were admitted at hospital

In latest news from Uttarakhand, several employees working in the milk plant operated by the Nainital Milk Producers Cooperative fell ill following ammonia gas leakage. They were hurriedly rushed to the base hospital in Haldwani where they are still under treatment. At least eight employees were affected by the gas leakage. The doctors treating them said that their conditions are stable. Meanwhile the plant was shut down. The sub-divisional magistrate Haldwani Paritosh Verma said that an investigation is going on to ascertain the cause of the gas leakage. He visited the base hospital and urged the doctors there to take care of the patients admitted. A senior doctor at the hospital said that all the plant employees admitted at the facility were recovering fast.
