The Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) is organising the fresher orientation programme for the new students from September 10 to 26. In the programme, students are being given information about the structure of the university, functioning of the departments, academic and para-academic activities.
The professor of Veterinary College, Ajay Kumar Upadhyay enlightened the students on the concept of ‘One Health’ and the role of veterinarians in public health. The dean of Community Science College, Alka Goyal gave information about the courses related to Sustainable Development Goals.
In the programme, representatives of the Bureau of Indian Standards made the students aware of the importance of standards while the ARTO officials gave detailed information about road safety and traffic rules.
This entire programme is being conducted under the guidance of the dean, Student Welfare, Anand Singh Jeena.
