GBPUAT hosts free health camp for women

A free health check-up camp was organised by the Ladies Club, Pantnagar at Lambert Square Guest House of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. The primary objective of the camp, the organisers said, was to conduct health check-ups of female employees of the university and to raise awareness about the prevention of various diseases. The senior medical officer from the university hospital, Dr DurgeshYadav along with several senior doctors was present.
During the camp, the women present underwent free tests, including blood pressure, eye examination, dental check-up, women’s health check-up and general health examination. A total of 60 women were examined, including 45 female workers from the University Farm and Garden Section and 15 others from various faculties.
Along with the check-ups, doctors also educated women about adopting a healthy lifestyle, maintaining a balanced diet and the importance of regular health check-ups. They also provided detailed information on preventive measures for common diseases.
