Soldier Welfare minister Ganesh Joshi said that the State government is committed for the welfare of the ex-servicemen of Uttarakhand. He said that the Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL) plays an important role in fulfilling the government’s commitment on welfare of the armed forces veterans.
Chairing a review meeting on Thursday, Joshi took stock of the development works and other activities undertaken by the UPNL. The minister directed that the works undertaken by the UPNL in different parts of the State should be accomplished effectively by coordination with the district administration and the revenue department.
He said that the development works initiated by the UPNL should be completed in a time bound manner with special focus on the quality so that more and more beneficiaries are able to take benefit of the government schemes.
