The Youth Welfare minister Rekha Arya said that the department will provide training to Scheduled Caste youths in the drone service technician trade under the Special Component Plan. The official government order has already been issued, marking a significant step towards empowering the youth of the state, she said.
Arya shared that the government has allocated Rs 63.17 lakh for this initiative. While funds previously earmarked for certificate in software technology and training on drone application trades remained unutilised, they have now been repurposed to train SC youth in the drone service technician trade, with the Governor’s approval. She emphasised that this initiative aims to make SC youth self-reliant by equipping them with valuable skills, enabling them to establish their own livelihoods. “Through this programme, we aim to empower our youth with the skills needed to build a brighter future, contributing to the vision of developed villages and a progressive state,” she said.
The minister extended her gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for supporting this initiative and conveyed her congratulations and best wishes to all SC youth in the State.
