Governor, CM confer U’khand Gaurav Samman to prominent personalities

The governor and the CM conferred Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman 2021 and 2022 to the recipients on the occasion. This year the award was given to National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajeet Dobhal, noted poet, lyricist and poet Prasoon Joshi, former CDS General Bipin Rawat (posthumous), late Girish Chandra Tiwari ‘Girda’ and journalist Late Viren Dangwal. Former CM Narayan Dutt Tiwari (posthumous), environmentalist Anil Joshi, story writer Ruskin Bond, mountaineer Bachendri Pal and folk singer Narendra Singh Negi were conferred with the Uttarakhand Gaurav award of 2021.
Prasoon Joshi and Narendra Singh Negi were present to receive the award. The governor also felicitated the police officers receiving the ‘President’s police medal’ on the occasion. The Governor and CM also honoured Chorgalia police station as the best police station of the State.
