The Uttarakhand government has decided to give the benefit of special dynamic assured career progression (SD -ACP) to the medical officers of the provincial medical services. An order in this regard was issued by the health secretary R Rajesh Kumar on Friday.
As per the provisions of the SD- ACP the salary of the doctors will be automatically upgraded to the next level after completion of 4, 9, 13 and 20 years of service. A condition of a minimum service of 2, 5, 7 and 10 years in mountainous areas of the State is kept by the government for being eligible for up gradation under SD ACP.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the doctors are the backbone of the State’s health services. “Doctors are working with full dedication even in difficult conditions from rural areas to mountains.
Taking care of their interests is our priority. Getting the benefit of ACP will not only give financial strength to the doctors but will also increase their sense of dedication towards service. The government always stands with its doctors and health workers,’’ he said.
