Heavy rain alert: CM advices people to exercise caution

PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

In view of the warning of heavy rainfall issued by the State meteorological centre in some parts of the State, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the general public to remain alert.

He has requested the people to be alert, avoid unnecessary travel and follow the guidelines issued by the administration.

Dhami has also appealed to the candidates appearing for the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services (preliminary) examination – 2025 being conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UkPSC) on Sunday to exercise caution. He asked the candidates to leave for their examination centre in time in view of the weather conditions.

The CM said that both the safety of the candidates and the examination are important for the government. “The State government is monitoring the situation and all necessary assistance is being provided to the local administration,’’ he said.  The CM has also asked all the district magistrates to keep the local administration on alert mode in view of the possibility of rain and heavy rains.
