The State Meteorological Centre has issued a heavy rain warning for seven districts. The centre issued a yellow warning for heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri Bageshwar, Almora and Pithoragarh districts on Monday.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and intense to very intense spells of rain are also likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Dehradun districts while light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in the remaining districts today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light rain/thundershowers in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. Light to heavy rainfall was reported in various places on Sunday with 82.5 millimetres in Rikhnikhal, 78 millimetres in Raiwala, 63.5 millimetres in Dwarahat, 46 millimetres in Dehradun, 41 millimetres in Rishikesh and 36.5 millimetres in Lansdowne.
