The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Nainital, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Sunday.
Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense/very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in districts of the State today. Further, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in Haridwar, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts and at most places in the remaining districts of the State. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a generally cloudy sky. One to two spells of light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 30 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
