Heavy rain warning issued for six districts

Light to moderate rain was reported in various parts of the State on Friday.The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall/thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital districts on Saturday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining mountainous districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Nainital and Champawat districts and at many places in the remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 35 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, 43.5 millimetres of rain was reported in Mussoorie on Friday with 32 millimetres in the Asharodi area of Dehradun, 14.5 millimetres in Didihat, 11.5 millimetres in Pauri and 10 millimetres in Berinag.
