A heavy rain warning has been issued for six districts. The State Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) for heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Nainital, Bageshwar, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Pauri and Chamoli districts on Monday. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in all the districts.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Sunday were 28.6 degrees Celsius and 21.3 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 27.2 degrees Celsius and 24.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 16.5 degrees Celsius and 14.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.2 degrees Celsius and 13.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. Light to moderate rain was recorded in various places with Gularbhoj registering very heavy rain at 133 millimetres.
