In view of the warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall issued by the State Meteorological centre, the district administrations of six districts have declared that the schools and Anganwadi centres will remain closed on Tuesday ( August 5).
The district magistrates of Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Champawat, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar have issued orders to this effect. In her order, the Pauri district magistrate Swati Bhadauria said that in view of expected heavy rainfall all the government and private schools ( class I to XII) and Anganwadi centres in Pauri district will remain closed on August 5.
Similar orders have been issued by the other district magistrates in order to prevent inconvenience or any untoward incident a day after moderate to heavy rains disrupted routine life in various parts of the State.
