Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (Central University) has announced the results of the University Entrance Test (UET-2026-27) on Wednesday which was held from June 17 to June 20, 2026, for the academic session 2026-27.
According to university officials, candidates can check their results by visiting the university’s admission website at https://online.hnbgu.ac.in/entrance_26 and entering their roll number and date of birth. To gain admission to the university campus and its affiliated colleges for this academic session, general category candidates were required to score a minimum of 40 per cent marks in the entrance examination. Candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) were granted a five per cent relaxation, requiring a minimum of 35 per cent marks. Additionally, current students enrolled in the university received an extra five per cent relaxation in the minimum eligibility marks to encourage their continuation in higher education, they said.
The University entrance examination coordinator Pritam Singh Negi reported that a total of 13,900 applications were received for admission to more than 101 courses under UET-2026-27. Out of these, 9,786 candidates were declared successful, while 2,276 candidates did not appear for the examination.
Candidates who successfully pass the University entrance examination and seek admission to the university will be required to register on the Samarth Portal and select their preferred university campus or affiliated college, he said. He further added that a detailed notification regarding the registration and counselling process on the Samarth Portal will be issued soon by the Dean of the Student Welfare Office. To ensure fairness, confidentiality and credibility in the examination process, the university strictly adheres to all prescribed standards at every level.
