Acharya Balkrishna receives SFE Outstanding National Ethno-Pharmacologist Award

The renowned Ayurvedic scholar and co-founder of Patanjali, Acharya Balkrishna has been conferred with the ‘Society for Ethnopharmacology Outstanding National Ethno-Pharmacologist Award’ at the 13th international congress of the society at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali.

The SFE sources said that this award has been presented to him in recognition of his researches which have made significant contributions to research and development in Ethnopharmacology and traditional medicines.

Acharya Balkrishna said that this recognition is not just a personal achievement but a proud moment for Ayurveda and India as a whole. He highlighted that Patanjali remains dedicated to re-vitalising Ayurveda and making healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone.

He also emphasised that over 90 evidence-based Ayurvedic medicines and natural therapies churned out by Patanjali currently provide safe and effective healthcare options for people. “The researches conducted by Patanjali’s scientists are being published in reputable international journals, shedding scientific light on Ayurvedic herbs and traditional medicine systems.

Echoing Balkrishna’s view, Patanjali said that it signifies a key milestone in the scientific revival of Ayurveda and natural medicine. “The award highlights Acharya Balkrishna’s significant achievement and demonstrates the growing international respect for India’s traditional medical knowledge within the scientific community,” Patanjali claimed.
