In latest news from Uttarakhand, in a suspected honour killing case reported from Rudrapur kotwali jurisdiction, parents allegedly smothered their daughter and calling it a case of suicide, when they were preparing to send the body to Rampur in Uttar Pradesh for burying, police reached the house and taken custody of the body. Later, it was sent for post-mortem and as per the autopsy report, the girl was strangulated to death. The parents were detained for questioning and while being grilled, they disclosed what had happened. Then they were arrested and produced at court, police said.
