House pays homage to Bhatt, Negi & Jwantha

Glowing tributes were paid in the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha to the former members Diwakar Bhatt, Balbir Singh Negi and Rajesh Jwantha who passed away recently. Paying tribute to former cabinet minister Bhatt, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he was known as “Field Marshal” in Uttarakhand politics, a title reflecting his strong and determined leadership. He said that Bhatt’s life inspires everyone.

Dhami said that Bhatt gave a new edge to the mass movement through his powerful slogans like ‘ghera dalo dera dalo’ which connected youth to the statehood movement. The speaker Ritu Khanduri, leader of opposition Yashpal Arya and the members of both Congress and BJP paid tributes to the former members of the house.
