In latest news from Uttarakhand, the MP from Sonipat Satpal Brahmachari said while addressing a programme at Shri Mithilesh Sanatan Dharma Inter College in Kankhal that no student would be forced to leave studies midway due to inability to pay fees. “I will take care of that; I will pay fees for them,” he said while fondly recalling his days spent at the Kharkhari branch of this institute as a student.
“We were allowed to carry on our study despite our inability to pay fees,” he added. He further announced he would donate Rs one lakh to his school from his first salary as an MP which would be used for the students’ welfare. Further, he said he is immensely indebted to Haridwar. “ This holy town has made a man of me,” he said.
