The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee hosted the Stakeholder Workshop on Digitalised Green Hydrogen Ecosystems (H2-BRIDGE) under the Indo-Danish Bilateral Research Initiative, bringing together policymakers, diplomats, industry leaders and academic experts to deliberate on Green Hydrogen (GH2) integration and digital energy systems.
Organised under the H2-BRIDGE Global Innovation Network Program, the initiative represented a strategic collaboration among IIT Roorkee, MNIT Jaipur, IIT Madras, IT University of Copenhagen, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and Innovation Centre Denmark, aimed at bridging research and large-scale deployment of Green Hydrogen technologies in alignment with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, said IIT Roorkee sources.
The ambassador of Denmark to India, Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, alongside eminent academicians including R R Sonde (BITS Pilani) and Yvonne Dittrich (IT University of Copenhagen).
Speaking at the inaugural session, Kristensen emphasised the importance of bilateral collaboration in accelerating the green transition. “Denmark and India share a strong commitment to advancing clean energy solutions and achieving ambitious climate goals,” he added.
Addressing the gathering, the deputy director, IIT Roorkee, U P Singh underscored his institute’s commitment to multidisciplinary research and global engagement.
