The former chief minister and general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Harish Rawat has said that the state government should increase the testing facilities for Covid-19 in Uttarakhand. The former CM said on social media that there is great anger and anxiety in the people due to the limited testing facility for Covid in Dehradun.
“Long queues at testing centres are creating concern among the people. The government should increase the testing facilities whether in government or private labs. It is not such a facility which requires time to start,’’ he said. The former CM added that one can understand the situation in other districts and mountainous areas by the pathetic situation in Dehradun. He warned that the situation can worsen in absence of adequate testing.
Rawat said that to remove the panic among the people the state government should invite people who can create testing facilities and allow them to test.
